Instead of humbling Marcus and showing him how to properly treat others regardless of their class or station, she actually follows in his foot steps by starting to use words like "dismissed" instead of "thank you but I rather think I would like to spend the day with Molly, instead Lily." When Lily walked in on her and Marcus, she did nothing to curb his yelling at Lily, a simple hand on his shoulder etc will show that she still had an ounce of humility and understand that she could have been and can still be in a servant position. As time progress, she becomes more focus on how to act as a Duchess. She started as a kind person that have a simple upbringing that lent to her character as a smart person with a kind heart that understood life in the lower classes. I was disappointed in Hannah's character.

The following version of this book was used to create this study guide: Greer, Andrew Sean. As a genre, the crime thriller could be boiled down to these essential elements, with each new novel simply filling in the blanks like a game of Mad Libs to suit their particular niche. All the elements of a creepy thriller are laid out on a silver platter: the remote location, an old building with a horrific past, a cast of strange characters, a brilliant female detective trying to understand the mysteries of her childhood by solving a mystery in the present. There is so much that’s *right* with this novel’s setup that it’s almost depressing at how badly it fails in execution. My thoughts: Oh, beautiful cover, you’ve done me so wrong. Is the first full length book in Tate Jame's 'Madison Kate' series. But, as someone who works in the legal field, I had a real problem with some of the facts and to get in to those nitty-gritty facts, we’re going to have to talk spoilers… □□□ SPOILER ALERT □□□ I really liked the direction that this story ended up going in. Kailyn’s obsession with Dax’s TV character really ends up taking a seat to the actual backbone of this story, which I LOVED because celebrity meet-cute romances are a tired trope these days. We have Dax the heartthrob who actually didn’t let fame get to his head and studied and ended up becoming a lawyer too. We have Kailyn the lawyer who spends as much of her free time taking on pro bono cases to help out families in need. This book has so much more depth than just Kailyn falling for former teen heartthrob Dax. You know me and my obsession with titles and how they relate to the book as a whole. I was surprised (but not upset) to learn that it actually factors very little in to the story, and really only in the beginning, when the characters meet back up as adults. So the synopsis of this book led me to believe that this would be a romance where the “meet-cute” of the the love interests played a big role either in them getting together the first time, or back together the second time (gee, I wonder why □). Inverting the Pyramid provides a definitive understanding of the tactical genius of modern-day Barcelona, for the first time showing how their style of play developed from Dutch "Total Football," which itself was an evolution of the Scottish passing game invented by Queens Park in the 1870s and taken on by Tottenham Hotspur in the 1930s. Through Jonathan Wilson's brilliant historical detective work we learn how the South Americans shrugged off the British colonial order to add their own finesse to the game how the Europeans harnessed individual technique and built it into a team structure how the game once featured five forwards up front, while now a lone striker is not uncommon.
